We haven't been here for the longest time but decided to come for lunch. I ordered the Hong Kong style tomato beef chow mein. So happy with my choice. The noodles were cooked just right with tinges of crunch. The beef was so tender and the tomatoes and sauce right on! Hubby ordered the pig knuckle. I cannot tell you how that tasted since I didn't eat it but he said it was pretty good. Huge portions, lots left to take home.

This place is really authentic. The service was quick and the staff were nice. We ordered the string beans and the Peking spareribs, highly recommend both of them, and 2 bowls of rice. This was more than enough for 2 people. We had about 4 spareribs leftover. I'd come again.

Brought my parents and daughter to Daimo for lunch on our way home from Oakland on a Friday. It's located right in the pacific east mall parking lot outskirt so parking is abundant. Got there at 12:30 and it was bustlin inside but we got seated at a round table right away. My daughter needed a high chair and they helped bring us one over right away. The workers seemed to speak English so conversation wasn't a major issue. I feel like the tables should have lazy Susans to make family style dining easier because their portions are huge ! They didn't offer any lunch menus, just a huge menu book to look through. They have a variety of options: appetizers, dim sum, noodles, hot pot and soups, noodle stir fries, bbq meats, seafood, etc! We decided to go with the lobster- San pan style because the picture on the menu looked so good. The waiter said it's pictured with two lobsters so we opted for two. It came out on a huge platter and looked quite magnificent. We got a lot of stares from everyone lol The lobster was lightly tossed in a thin crispy batter, fried, and then tossed in aromatics- green onion, fried garlic chips, jalapenos. It gave me salt and pepper vibes. They cut the lobster pieces In the right size chunks so that all the meat was easy to dig out. NGL thought this would cost way more but only $50 and worth every dollar!

Daimo is our go to place for lunch or an early dinner after several hours of shopping at Marina Square Center in San Leandro. A good barometer is if my picky, highly critical Chinese mom approves, and she always does. She even had seconds. We usually order either the wonton or plump sui gow dumplings, but this time we ordered the sui gow, beef chow fun, chicken feet, tofu and veggies. Everything was delicious! Nice ambiance and quick service. Bathrooms could be cleaner. Free parking on the lot.

Well prior to the pandemic this place was our regular New Year's Eve and late night special hang. Terrific foods and open till 4am, it was just the exact thing for post-show/club dinner and come down. I guess they've shortened their hours since, but the expertly cooked food served in generous portions is a winner any time we can get it. FIVE enthusiastic stars for a yummy-tastic local hang
